yeah right
reading Texas Lawyer. they have an article by a partner at Akin Gump in houston about how to hire new lawyers (aimed at general counsels hiring new in-house counsel, though reading the article i don’t see how it’s specifically tailored to GCs). but the writer talks about hiring lawyers with desire.
Hire lawyers who have something to prove. In my experience, folks at the top of their law school class who served as the law review editor and have Roman numerals behind their names seldom have anything more to prove.”
uh-huh, and these are EXACTLY the people that Akin Gump hires. so i guess that leaves these people with desire for GCs to hire.
