It was called Rendenvouz, and then it was renamed to something else that I cannot remember. I don’t know why they called it Bonjour in Windows… It wasn’t part of iTunes, just part of OSX, it’s kindda a zero-configuration p2p networking protocol within a LAN.

meant for the windows users, it was always in itunes for windows, just not for all purpose use. via the link “it should be noted that Bonjour technology has been present in iTunes for Windows for some time”
