i thought i blogged on this. but then i thought i remembered having tech problems on the day i wanted to blog about this. if i did, who cares, it’s my blog. plus it’s apt for me, because lately i do a lot of complaining about how hard i work at work (because believe it or not, i do, and it’s completely ridiculous).

regardless, i read the sample pages, it’s at least entertaining.

Talks Over DVD Format Standard Stall || The Mac Observer

okay, so the people in these talks probably aren’t hot heads. these talks probably aren’t getting all that heated. but for god’s sake, please please please work out a compromise that will not create a format war. and the compromise of a hybrid disc isn’t the answer. there needs to be a single format. (btw, fwiw, even if there is a battle to dominate, i think blu-ray wins, if only bc ps3 supports it. hd-dvd will be behind, esp considering the sheer number of units ps3 will undoubted move. of course at the end of the day it also depends almost wholly on (1) which player is cheaper, the masses always go for cheaper; (2) which movies/studios are on what format).

not to make light of the torture incidents (though watching 24 probably makes me a little ambivalent toward torture anyways. plus, even though torture isn’t a reliable interrogation method, i’ve always thought beyond extreme circumstances require beyond extreme measures). anyways, lifted this from my friend andrew’s blog. pics of some of sony ericssons stress tesing on phones. wow. i need to find some info on motorola testing, if only bc i own a moto now.

nevermind streetfighter or mortal kombat, what about the kick-ass super mario brothers movie?! ha, i guess hollywood is running out of old books and movies to make/remake into new movies, so they are moving onto the video games (doom? good lord…). how long before we get a theatrical release movie based on a TV show? oops, nevermind, already happened (star trek, xfiles, etc). oh but you KNOW it will be the end of all good cinema when the tv show movies are remakes of tv shows…. oops already happened (starsky & hutch, dukes of hazard, etc). oh man. i used to love movies….

they need to sell these. i would upgrade whatever i had to in my computers to get BT class 1 (long range) to have these things fly around. i would buy this the second it was available.
